Ongoing
research projects
Academic institutions in the US and Scandinavia are currently conducting
research about working memory training, using RoboMemo. Cogmed Working
Memory Training has shown effects on attention, impulse control and
complex reasoning in controlled scientific studies at the Karolinska
Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. The results of these studies have inspired
other researchers to start studies to deepen the understanding of working
memory and the effects of training.
RoboMemo, the software
used for working memory traning, is currently used in studies performed
by researchers in different academic fields. We are proud to say that
the following prominent researchers are conducting studies about training
of working memory:
- Christopher P.
Lucas, M.D., M.P.H., Associate Professor of Psychiatry, Director,
Early Childhood Services, New York University, Child Study Center.

- Bradley S. Gibson,
PhD, Associate Professor of Cognitive Psychology, Psychology Department
Notre Dame University.
- Enrico Mezzacappa,
MD, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and John C. Buckner, PhD,
Clinical/Community Psychology, Department of Psychiatry, Children's
Hospital Boston, Harvard Medical School.
- Richard J. Shavelson,
Margaret Jacks Professor of Education, Professor of Psychology (by
courtesy), School of Education, Stanford University.
- Lisa B. Thorell,
Ph.D., Assistant Professor, Department of Women and Child Health,
The Karolinska Institute Stockholm, Sweden
The results of these
studies will be presented in their respective academic channels after
conclusion.
