assessment to accurately diagnosis psychological problems and provide
recommendations for psychothera-peutic treatment and support.
Qualified staff will assess, address and provide treatment for a wide

  • Problems or concerns related to depression, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorders.
  • Diagnosis and treatment of co-existing disorders.
  • Assessment and treatment of psychotic disorders.
  • Post Traumatic Stress evaluations.
  • Emotional/Behavioral problems related to the autistic spectrumdisorders.
  • Identification of chemical dependency issues with recommendations for treatment.
  • Relationship problems.

  • Alternative therapy such as neurobiofeedback, working memory training, or nutritional supplement programs.

SPECIALIZED TREATMENTS

Psychoeducational Assessments

Utilizing a series of standard psychological assessment measures, The Vista Group clinician will arrange for a core battery of tests that include:

  • A comprehensive history-taking interview.
  • Questionnaires consisting of background information, including childhood development and
    academic observations.
  • A test of intellectual functioning.
  • Test of academic achievement levels in reading, writing and mathematics.
  • Attention and memory instruments.
  • Tests of relevant social and emotional functioning.
  • Review of study skills and habits.

Once the testing is completed, the data will be analyzed and an assessment report will be written. A feedback session is then initiated to review assessment results and recommendations.

Psychological Evaluations

With state of the art assessment measures, The Vista Group clinician will utilize reliable, efficient instruments to help identify problems so that recommendations can be made to guide individuals toward appropriate assistance. Evaluations may help:

  • Guide treatment decisions by providing an integrated picture of the deeper and pervasive personality characteristics underlying a patient's overt symptoms.
  • Gain an integrated understanding of the relationship between personality characteristics and clinical syndromes to facilitate treatment decisions.
  • Assess major symptoms of social and personal maladjustment.
  • Once testing is completed, a report outlining recommendations and prognostic and therapeutic implications will be reviewed with the individual and/ or family.

ADHD Evaluations

The Vista Group clinicians use instruments and self-evaluations to assess for elements of inattention and impulsivity. Information obtained will then be utilized to:

  • Provide valuable structured and normed information to further support conclusions, diagnoses,
    and treatment decisions.
  • Establish a base point prior to beginning therapy and monitor treatment effectiveness and
    changes over time.
  • Promote advocacy in the school for optimal educational outcomes.


Clinician will then help establish a treatment plan that may include:

  • Medication management, when appropriate.
  • Counseling/Coaching.

  • Working Memory Training.
